Hey y’all! One of my biggest goals for this upcoming year is to establish a productive routine by starting my mornings off intentionally. There is this an amazing feeling I get when I start my day early. Starting my mornings early and intentionally helps me start my day off with a clear and fresh mind which intern helps me have a more productive day. Today I am sharing tips on how I plan on starting my mornings off intentionally | Early Morning Routine as a mom of two.

What does starting my day off intentionally mean to me?

First and foremost, starting my day off intentionally means building health habits and routines that set a positive tone for the rest of my day. As mom and entrepreneur this is very important to me. Both of being a mother and an entrepreneur requires you to always be on go and prepared for all kinds of unexpected events daily. Taking some me time out in the morning  to pace myself into the day is a daily dose of self care and my way of filling my cup,  Not saying thought our day won’t still end up chaotic, but as least we don’t have to start our day that way!

What does my ideal intentional morning routine look like?

In my ideal world I would wake up at 5:30 am. (Hopefully before my oldest wakes up because almost every time I wake up early, he is not too far behind.) My mornings starts with prayer a my daily devotional. Whether it’s watching a sermon or a daily scripture on the bible app, my mornings start with God,

Next up is movement or meditation. Yoga, stretching exercise, guided breathing, etc all ways I plan on getting movement in the mornings. Since my babies are still very young and the Mr is sometimes out of town for work, I can’t head to a early am gym session. Next up is my morning hygiene routine. Shower and skincare is a next on my list. A morning shower (even though I took one last night) helps to wake my body up. Us millennial mommas are it girls too, and every it girl should have a skincare routine. Even if its simple. This extra 5-10 minute step is a quickly little daily self care moment. And let’s not forget getting dressed. As entrepreneur or even if you work from home, is important to still look put together. I have an upcoming blog post on how to look put together without really trying.

Next we head downstairs for a cup of coffee. Yes I am a coffee girlie! While I’m sipping my coffee, I slowly begin my work day by posting drafted content and/or emails. The rest of my coffee time is used for a checking my to do’s for the day and do a financial check in. Not a deep dive in my finances, but a quick glance to make sure everything is everything! Once I’m done with my coffee, its time to pack the kiddos lunches/food for daycare.

Now the boys’ morning routine is still very unpredictable, but the overall goal is to get them feed, dressed, and out of the house by 8 am. This part of my morning always going to be forever changing I’m sure lol.

How do I plan on achieving this ideal routine?

I have been reading The 12 Week Year and I am attacking on my goals in a 12 week increments. I have a whole Youtube video on it and you can check it out here! Long story short, my 12 weeks starts 2/1 and I have each on of these as target goals for myself.

All in all, starting your morning off intentionally has its benefits. Although everyday won’t be perfect, but I am looking forward to starting my mornings off intentionally | Early morning routine as a mom of two. And I plan on building and executing this intentional morning routine until it becomes a habit!
