Kid’s DIY Valentine’s Day Baskets for Under $20

Hey Hey ya’ll! I just had to share the cool mom chronicle win! I made some Kid’s DIY Valentine’s Day Baskets for Under $20. This is my first time doing this so my excitement level is through the roof! As mamas of course we show our children love everyday, but I thought “hey why not making something special for them too.” It’s love day and although I love my man celebrating with my man, I am making it a tradition to celebrate our kids as well!
While in Target, I came across what left of Valentine’s Day decor and grabbed these cute baskets, flags, and snacks bags. Next stop was the Dollar Tree to grab items and activities I know the kids love. They are both very into crafts and coloring so filling their basket was a breeze. I also made sure to snag a couple Valentine’s Day chocolate box and heart shaped lollipops!
Next up was putting the baskets together! Stuffing the bottom of the baskets with tissue paper made the items stand up nicely and not sink to the bottom. I started with the larger items and then placed the smaller things in the basket as fillers. You can check out my video on IG here to see how i did this!
Lastly, but definitely not necessary, I got clear basket wrapping kit from Walmart to put the basket inside. I think it gave it a more official look. But again, definitely not necessary especially if you aren’t transporting the baskets anywhere!
Any who, I am officially that mom who makes all holidays feel special and I love the for me! I am so ready for it to be Valentine’s Day already so I can see their reactions. Now to plan for the Mr because quite honestly he my get a basket too lol.
If you plan on making your Kid’s DIY Valentine’s Day Baskets for Under $20 comment down below what items you kids love that you plan on incorporating! I know they will be love them as much as mines will!
Sincerely,
Jo
