Colorful Makeup Look | Haitian Flag Inspired

It’s only right that my first colorful makeup look be inspired by the Haitian Flag! Haitian Flag Day is celebrated on May 18th. Because May is Haitian Heritage Month, I decided to dedicate all my blog post this week to celebrating my culture. Although to some it may seem like, I am not a makeup artist in any way, shape, or form. I am just a creative person who chooses to express herself with makeup at times in addition to clothes and shoes. (Also because my creative outlet isn’t just limited to clothing lol)

Although I have never really experimented with eye shadows to this extent, I decided that if this look came out half way decent, I would blog it. Let’s just say that I am happy with the results. Since this idea came to me at work one day, I knew that I had to try to achieve it that night! I stayed up until 3 am that morning. My goal was to capture the beautiful colors of the Haitian flag, and I think I did an great job for my first time. Although the eyeliner gave me a run for my money, overall I am very satisfied with the turnout. So in conclusion everything turned out great!

The focus of this look is eye shadow and my inspiration, the Haitian flag. Furthermore, I made it a point to make sure the saying ” L’union Fait La Force” was visible. It means “unity makes strength” in Creole, because it is a quote I hold dear to my heart.

How important is unity to you? Comment down below and let me know!

As always…until next time!
